TrashyPantz Movie Review

"Soft mattress? Yeah, it could have been the soft mattress. Or the midnight rape. Or the nude gay art show that took place in my room last night. One of those three probably contributed to the lack of sleep. "

All of the above could only happen in one movie this summer, and only one man could say all that and make you laugh your ass off, and that man is Vince Vaughn in Wedding Crashers. Vaughn's quick talking humor meshes very well with Owen Wilson.

You immediately know where this film is going, but you don't care. The movie begins by getting you right to the point of what John Beckwith (Owen Wilson) and Jeremy Grey (Vince Vaughn) do on their weekends during the summer. And when these 2 crash weddings, they are ballsy. Making speeches, posing in cake cutting pictures, etc.

Christopher Walken plays Senator Cleary, whose daughter is getting married. He is perfect for the role and the minimal lines he delivers are done in that "Walken" way, as are his facial expressions. The ending is as expected for this kind of movie and is a bit weak, but you have laughed a lot by that point, you really don't care.

There are many laugh out loud scenes and the casting for this movie is dead on. I compare the amount of laughs and the length of the laughs of this movie, to that same amount and length of laughs in There's Something About Mary. Granted, this isn't the kind of movie that you have to see in a theater, but there is something to be said about the atmosphere in a movie theater when everyone is laughing and having fun.

However, the worst part of the movie, was the Coke commercial before it, featuring the original Coke song "I'd like to buy the world a Coke" performed by G. Love and Special Sauce. The band has fallen so far from what they once were, it's a shame. And so I shall end this article with another Vince Vaugn quote, if you should happen to see that commercial in the theater or at home, "EARMUFFS!"

Wedding Crashers receives a 4 out of 5 balloon bicycles, CLOWN!
