Take a look at the link below, and if you know anyone that might be able to use the site he launched, please send them the link as well!

It's finally Wednesday!

This was so appropriate for yesterday...

Already the week is unbearable for these
New Yorkers awaiting a subway train,
and it's only fucking Tuesday.

It Only Tuesday

WASHINGTON, DC— After running a thousand errands, working hours of overtime, and being stuck in seemingly endless gridlock traffic commuting to and from their jobs, millions of Americans were disheartened to learn that it was, in fact, only Tuesday.

Movie Review: The Bourne Ultimatum

Have you ever been exhausted after watching a movie? You will be after seeing The Bourne Ultimatum. This movie is full of non stop action right from the beginning! Great fights, car chases... you name it, Jason Bourne (or is he Jason Bourne??? hmmm) is going to kick some ass. Matt Damon reprises his role in this highly successful movie series, which leads off not too far after where The Bourne Supremecy left off. It is safe to say that you do need to see the first two movies to follow along with the major plot line. Jason Bourne keeps the CIA on its toes all over the world with his survival skills and wit. There are many times you think that there is no way a person can survive all the things that Bourne goes through, but you have to remember that these are the reasons people enjoy coming back to see the same character over and over and over again. Once you can move past that, the fight scenes and car chases are very well shot, the story is a new twist on an old character and the cast, both returning and new actors, hold their own.
No word on if there will be a fourth Bourne film, but Matt Damon has been quoted as saying if that do make one, they should call it "The Bourne Redundancy." Maybe skip the 4th movie when it comes out, but definitely check out Ultimatum on the big screen.
Bourne Ultimatum: 4.5 fake passports, tapped cell phones and sharpshooter assassins out of 5.

Movie Review: Superbad

SUPERBAD
I happened to see this movie on the same day my dad saw Mr. Bean. He was debating seeing Superbad, but chose Mr. Bean instead. Good choice Dad, because Superbad would have been the kind of movie he would have gone on to analyze and lament about today's youth, which is exactly the reason you, the TrashyPantz reader, will love Superbad. This quotable movie follows the same sort of plot lines you will find in most movies based in high school. Unpopular kids want to be popular and do something to try to gain respect from their classmates, girls especially. The difference here is that this movie does not hold back the raunchy factor, and at times, you almost think that Seth (lovable and chubby Jonah Hill) and Evan (Arrested Developments George Michael) are improving lines that the camera keeps rolling for. It reminds you how many conversations with friends go- no holds barred and very funny, usually with a comment that will be remember and repeated for a long time. The rest of the cast does a great job keeping up the pace- but there are points where you question where a scene is going to go but you stick with it. Therefore...

My new favorite train wreck

As you all know, I love a good, cheesy, reality show and the best one out there right now is VH1's Rock Of Love. The premise of the show is simple: "It's the exact same premise as Flavor of Love. A bunch of skanks (and some ladies) try to win the hard-on of Bret Michaels of Poison"Below is the best part of last weeks premiere episode, featuring a drunk Tiffany and some awesome captions by VH1 to try to translate what her drunk ass was saying. One girl on the show, Brandi C, has been outed by TMZ.com for being a porn star and having a boyfriend. I mean, this show is a GEM and has the words TRAIN WRECK written all over it!Tune in every Sunday night to VH1 to witness a hot mess each week!

In memory of Mr. Wizard

Don Herbert, who unlocked the wonders of science for youngsters of the 1950s and '60s as television's Mr. Wizard, died Tuesday at his home in the Bell Canyon section of Los Angeles. He was 89. (Click HERE for the entire article)

I remember watching this show on Nickelodeon when I was little, I think it ran right around the same time as You Can't Do That On Television... Below is the original intro to the show, which most of us have not seen in years, which taught us about that mentos and coke explosion many years ago!

Will HEROES get "LOST"?

I don't know who makes these TV programming decisions, but they must be hopped up on Red Bull, Coffee and Mountain Dew...

This past TV season saw a move for Lost from its 9pm slot to a 10pm slot so it would not have to compete with American Idol, which has caused a loss in viewership and ad revenue for ABC. Now NBC is mulling a move of it's most popular show Heroes, which now airs Mondays at 9pm to Thursdays at 10pm, where ER is slowly fading and the time slot is low in ratings on all networks.

Looks like my DVR will be working overtime!

READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE (courtesy of Media Life Magazine)
In other Heroes news...
Summer love for 'Heroes' fans: NBC's webisodesHoping to keep fans interested in NBC’s hit science fiction series over the rerun-filled summer, “Heroes”, NBC Digital Entertainment said is launching a new original web series called "Inside Heroes," an eight-installment series that will go inside the making of the show. The web series will begin May 21 on NBC.com and will run along with "Heroes" character profiles. And the popular "Heroes" online graphic novel will continue this summer with new chapters. It’s not the first time NBC has offered viewers summer extras for one of its series. Last summer NBC made "Office" webisodes focusing on lesser characters to keep viewers engaged. “Inside Heroes” will take fans through visual effects, music, wardrobe, stunts, make-up effects, artwork and even the catering to create the feeling of being there with the people who put the show together. "Heroes" character profiles are a look at individual characters' storylines from the beginning of the season. (courtesy of Media Life Magazine)
Of course I will make sure you can direct link from TrashyPantz to the webisodes.

Can you say no to this face?

We can't!!! Especially after reading his story:

This sweet boy has a real heartbreaking story to tell you - if he could talk. This is what we know: Scooby grew up with a little girl in the country. When the family moved to another town, Scooby was no longer wanted - so they kept him in a pen in the back of their yard. Then one day the family moved again - and left Scooby and the family cats behind. A kind neighbor rescued Scooby and the cats and brought them to the Humane Society. A dog like Scooby does not have much time in such a place - and when his heartworm test turned out positive - his days were numbered. Fortunately, Scooby caught a ride North to ROAR (Ridgefield Operation Animal Rescue,
http://www.roar-ridgefield.org/ ) - and now he's looking for a nice warm place to retire. He's great on a leash and very calm and well-mannered. He grew up with children and cats. He's great with other dogs. He has so much to give - even after so much has been taken away from him. We will finish his treatment for heartworm with the help of our vets before sending ScoobyDoo off to retirement. Approximate age: 6-8 yrs Breed: Corgi-Chow mix

After a 4 page application, 2 non-family references and a visit to our home, Scooby will be part of our family starting this weekend! He will be on bed rest for the next month while his heartworm treatment runs its course. After that, he will be active, playing with other dogs at doggie daycare, and hopefully with our neighbors dog Peanut as well! He can't wait to meet all of you!

Top 40 List of 'Songs That Changed the World'

Rolling Stone Magazine has just published its list of the Top 40 'Songs That Changed the World.'
Feel free to post your thoughts on the list...

As for my thoughts, it is hard to admit that yes, Britney Spears did change the the world in terms of music that become popular, and not necessarily for the better. And yes, it is hard to see her name on the same list as Led Zeppelin and John Lennon but these are artists that changed the face of music. However, the one glaring ommission from the list is Pink Floyd. Dark Side of the Moon was their more mainstream album that introduced a completely new sound and experience to music lovers across the Atlantic and into the US.

1. Elvis Presley "That's All Right"

2. Ray Charles "I Got A Woman"

3. Chuck Berry "Maybellene"

4. Bob Dylan "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall"
5. The Kingsmen "Louie Louie"
6. The Ronettes "Be My Baby"
7. The Beatles "I Wanna Hold Your Hand"
8. Martha and the Vandellas "Dancing In The Street"
9. The Rolling Stones "(I Cant Get No) Satisfaction"
10. Bob Dylan "Like A Rolling Stone"
11. The Beatles "Strawberry Fields Forever"
12. The Velvet Underground "Herion"
13. Aretha Franklin "Respect"
14. Jimi Hendrix "Purple Haze"
15. Led Zeppelin "Whole Lotta Love"
16. James Brown "Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine"
17. Marvin Gaye "What's Going On"
18. John Lennon "Imagine"
19. David Bowie "Ziggy Stardust"
20. Bob Marley "I Shot The Sheriff"
21. Joni Mitchell "Help Me"
22. Bruce Springsteen "Born To Run"
23. Queen "Bohemian Rhapsody"
24. The Ramones "Blitzkrieg Bop"
25. The Sex Pistols "Anarchy in the UK"
26. Donna Summer "I Feel Love"
27. The Sugarhill Gang "Rappers Delight"
28. Black Flag "TV Party"
29. Michael Jackson "Billie Jean"
30. Prince "When Doves Cry"
31. U2 "Pride (In The Name Of Love)"
32. Madonna "Like A Virgin"
33. Run DMC and Aerosmith "Walk This Way"
34. The Cure "Just Like Heaven"
35. Guns N Roses "Sweet Child O' Mine"
36. Public Enemy "Bring The Noise"
37. Dr. Dre "Nuthin' But A G Thang"
38. Nirvana "Smells Like Teen Spirit"
39. Britney Spears "Baby One More Time"
40. The White Stripes "Fell In Love With A Girl"

Do NOT adjust your TV set colors

Report: George Hamilton Frontrunner to Replace Price’s Bob Barker

Could the new host of ''The Price Is Right'' have a permanent tan? That might be the case if the rumors about our favorite tan man George Hamilton replacing the retiring Bob Barker are true. First tipped by the TMZ.com Web site, and also mentioned by my sources at CBS, the eye network's head honcho Les Moonves and ''Price'' producers reportedly are positive about Hamilton's ability to take the long-running hit game show in a new direction -- without endangering the loyal audience base Barker has maintained. Previously, CBS' ''The Early Show'' weatherman Dave Price -- who worked at CBS 2 as the morning weatherman from 1996-98 -- has been the name most frequently touted as Barker's successor, when he steps down later this spring after 35 years of hosting the weekday mainstay. (CBS2-Chicago)

The TrashyPantz poll held in November about Bob Barker's replacement had Dave Price in the lead!!!

A bunch of good things...

Alot of good things have been brought to my attention the past few weeks, and I wanted to pass them on, in hopes that if you might be looking to hear some new music, watch a new TV show, or to have a new cause. Below are a few things that you might find fit into those categories...

Lily Allen is British, talented, young and a bit angry... which makes for great energetic music with extremely entertaining lyrics mixed in with rap, ska and hop-hop influence.

Rolling Stone - 3.5 stars out of 5 -- "[She] writes shambling pop songs, rooted in ska and rap, with cheeky rhymes....Lily Allen's an original."
Spin - 4 stars out of 5 -- "ALL RIGHT, STILL is all about the stories behind the stories..."
Entertainment Weekly - "[A] collection of irresistible pop songs imbued with both smarts and street cred."

The new series, The Riches, which debuted on FX three weeks ago is about a family of Southern grifters who con their way into a wealthy gated community . From the moment the show starts, you are drawn in by the characters and the story. "The father, Wayne Malloy, is played by Eddie Izzard, a beloved stand-up comedian and sketch artist in Britain. Minnie Driver plays his wife, Dahlia, a princess of the blood in the realm of the Travelers but in the outside world a woman who has just emerged from a two-year stint in jail with an addiction to cough syrup...Trading in their battered RV and Louisiana swamplands for a sumptuous pink mansionette with swimming pool, the Malloys pull off their ruse with skill and also childish naïveté. The children do not go to school but are well educated in the arts of forgery, car theft and flimflam." -New York Times, March 12, 2007

Another British singer making her mark in the US is Amy Winehouse. Her CD is a mix of Billie Holiday, hip hop and soul, with lyrics to that will catch you off guard at times.

Rolling Stone - 3 stars out of 5 -- "Winehouse is a nervy, witty songstress whom indie rockers, pop fans and hip-hoppers can dig."
Entertainment Weekly - "It's precisely Winehouse's lyrics...aching, flirty, and often straight-up nasty -- that raise this expertly crafted set into the realm of true, of-the-minute originality." -- Grade: A-

Between the siteVoteForTheWorst.com and The Howard Stern Show, American Idol has taken on many new viewers and voters- who want to take this show down. Sanjaya Malakar can't sing for shit, but so far the push to keep him on the show has worked well enough to ensure he will now be on the American Idol Summer Tour. With just the easy dialing of your phone, you too can help a starving child... oops, I mean, you too can help keep Sanjaya on American Idol. Plus some girl is on a hunger strike until she gets voted off- and she could use the extra time. (Check that out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDviPoXJl28)

TrashyPantz Injury!!!

So, my finger got in the way of a very sharp knife on Monday night.
Dan & I headed to the ER around 7:30 and didn't get home until 11pm with this contraption on my hand. Have no fear, I was very brave (only cried for a few seconds) and my thumb should be healed in about 2-3 months (the splint is only for one more day or so). My supply of percosets however, will not last 2-3 months. Woe is me.

One less chocolate chip in the world

I will have a Fudge Shoppe Stripe Cookie in memory of Walker Edminston.

I suggest you have one too...

Make Chris Hansen talk!

"I want to wrestle you."

NBC's To Catch a Predator is one of the most uncomfortable shows to watch. Even more uncomfortable is some of the things that the host, Chris Hansen, has to read out loud from online chats. Uncomfortable, yes. Laughable, no doubt.

Now you can make Chris Hansen talk! Click on the link below for the Chris Hansen soundboard!

Best Photoshop ever

It aws brought to my attention that I have not posted anything about the phenomenal meltdown of Britney Spears. I figured that most of you have been reading up on it elsewhere, but then I ran across this picture and had to post it.
There are just too many photoshop opportunities with her new 'do.'

More Music Newz!

From Pollstar.com:
It's true. The Van Halen tour that was never officially announced is now officially postponed indefinitely, sources told Pollstar. The rumored tour took on an air of reality after a trade magazine announced that original singer David Lee Roth was about to sign on the dotted line, and that was soon followed by a press release via Eddie Van Halen’s spokeswoman-slash-girlfriend. Unfortunately, the worldwide frenzy of a VH reunion was too good to be true, at least for the present day. However, there was a lot of paper getting inked and Pollstar understands that a tour announcement might not have been far off.

On another reunion tour note... It is impossible to get Police tickets. Shows sold out in no time flat. According to a close source, a friend was waiting overnight in line outside of MSG for tickets. 12 people went in, got tickets, and there were no more left. Tickets are going for thousands on ebay. This is all due to the fact that The Police had 2 presales. One through Best Buy, the other through their Fan Club. More dates are being added, but those tickets will still be just as hard to get. My dream to relive the 80's for one night is dwindling.

Most BS headline ever

"Do you threaten Paul for millions of dollars while swinging this at his head?"

As our good friend, and fellow Blogger, Petey G pointed out, ABC is kicking off its new season and lineup of Dancing With The Stars. La tee da.
With all the press it is getting, below is the headline of a story that Yahoo! posts on their front page.

Heather Mills to be first 'Dancing' contestant with artificial limb

First off, we are in season 4 of the show. This show hasn't been around for 20 years and featured hundreds of participants yet. If she were to host of the long running, multi hosted gameshow Family Fued, then yes, she is the first host of that show to have an artificial limb.
Below are a few headlines that Yahoo! could have posted instead. Feel free to comment with your own.

Heather Mills to be first 'Dancing' contestant that is the most money hungry.
Heather Mills to be first 'Dancing' contestant to be hated by the most Beatles fans ever.
Heather Mills to be first 'Dancing' contestant that will have the most akward audience reaction if she falls.

Chris Cornell to Leave Audioslave

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Chris Cornell is leaving rock group Audioslave, citing "irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences."
"I wish the other three members nothing but the best in all of their future endeavors," Cornell said Thursday in a statement.
An after-hours call to Audioslave's music label was not immediately returned.
Cornell, 42, a former singer and guitarist with Seattle grunge band Soundgarden, said he'll release a solo album May 1 called "Carry On." He also co-owns a restaurant in Paris, where he splits his time.
Audioslave was formed in 2001 and comprised of Cornell and three former members of Rage Against the Machine. The group recorded three albums and performed in Havana in 2005.
Meanwhile, Rage Against the Machine planned to reunite to perform at this year's Coachella Valley Arts and Music Festival, which runs April 27 through 29. Tom Morello, the lead guitarist of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, has said the concert is a one-shot deal.

LOST update

I am sure that tonight, many of you will be sitting in front of your TV at 10PM to watch LOST at its new time (FYI...There is recap episode on from 9p-10p). Below is a quick review of the first episode of this season, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. It gives some insight into what to expect tonight. Below is a link posted to Q&A from Entertainment Weekly with Lost exec producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse.

"I'm not going to screw around. It's good. Really good. Like season-one, stuff-gets-answered, can't-wait-for-the-next-episode good. To recap: Ben is bleeding out on the table. Jack is demanding the release of Kate and Sawyer. And the fan base is demanding some frickin' forward movement. Well, how about the full-on Juliette backstory? Information about how the Others ended up on the Island? Super-creepy Dharma experiment sequences? Yeah. You know you want it. And by the end, you'll be begging for more. Well, that, and praying that this isn't just another tease from a show that always seems to start strong out of the gate." — Daniel Fierman

This is how we roll...

Trashypantz has a new ride in the family... A 2007 Honda Accord. No fancy schmancy navigation system, but somehow we will manage.

The three extra accessories below approved the purchase saying it was "Cool! Vroooom, Vroooom!" The accessory in the backseat was just happy to have her own space and be away from the reckless pretend driving of the other two.

Your Super Bowl Predictions

Last weeks poll asked: Who will be playing each other in the Super Bowl?

It seems that only one person picked out which teams would make an appearance on February 4th in Miami... Granted, the one person who picked the Bears vs. Colts was not looking good against the 3 votes that predicted it would be Patriots vs. Bears until the last minute of the game.

Below is a breakdown of all the voting...
Patriots vs. Saints 13%
Bears vs. Colts 13%
Saints vs. Colts 38%
Patriots vs. Bears 38%

Tony Soprano is back, and he’s had his dirty mouth cleaned out.

Even the strippers get cleaned up!

Tonight A&E begins airing reruns of the acclaimed crime drama, scrubbed up for basic cable with less cursing, less violence and less sex but the same compelling plotlines and whip-smart dialogue.
The show’s first appearance outside HBO comes four months before the mob drama returns for its final eight original episodes in April and could lead to an uptick in viewership if people who had never watched the show before become fans.
A&E paid a bundle, a record $2.5 million per episode, to acquire rights to the show’s 86 episodes. It took a year for the editing team from HBO and A&E to clean up the episodes, including popping bathing suits on the Bada Bing strip club dancers, and A&E has rolled out a very aggressive ad campaign to promote “Sopranos,” which will air back-to-back episodes Wednesdays at 9 p.m.
A&E is also hyping the show with an online “Sopranos Connection” game that promises $100,000 to the winner. Players must collect game pieces from “Sopranos” ads that run online, in magazines and elsewhere, which help them predict the plot of the episode.

Mark Your Calendars!

NEW YORK (AP) -- It may feel like looking into the mirror for Bill O'Reilly and Stephen Colbert next week. The Fox News Channel host and Colbert, who has essentially based his comic character every evening on Comedy Central on him, will trade appearances on each other's programs Jan. 18.

"I'm really looking forward to speaking to a man who owes his entire career to me," O'Reilly said.

On "The Colbert Report," Colbert portrays a self-involved talk-show host who has tried to bring "truthiness" to the world. His character owes an obvious debt to O'Reilly, who holds court in the "no-spin zone" each evening.

On "The O'Reilly Factor," O'Reilly portrays a ... um, he hosts the top-rated program in cable news.

"I look forward to the evening," Colbert said. "It is an honor to speak face-to-face with a broadcasting legend, and I feel the same way about Mr. O'Reilly."
