Beastie Boys Deny Break-Up Rumors

The Beastie Boys are denying rumors that they are breaking up, according to MTV.com. Speculation about the band's future has increased with the announcement of the November 8 release of Solid Gold Hits. But Beastie Boy Mike D. told MTV that the trio is used to hearing that they're finished, saying, "We don't put out records too often, and we've been doing it for a while, so that puts us in a high-risk category for rumors."
Nevertheless, Mike D. told Billboard.com last year that the group wasn't sure if its 2004 album, To The 5 Boroughs, would be its last: "You know, to be honest, we really never know."
He added, however, that the Beasties would like to take less time between records in the future. To The 5 Boroughs was the first new Beastie Boys effort in six years.
Solid Gold Hits will include 15 tracks, including songs like "So What'cha Want," "Brass Monkey," "Hey Ladies" and "Sabotage." The collection will also come in a special CD/DVD package featuring a selection of the band's music videos
